Code of Conduct

The Keepers of Stromgarde is a tight knit family oriented guild. In that regard we pride ourselves on our mature and honorable membership and understand that we are playing a computer game. Our membership consists of children who play with their parents to players who have grand children. Thus it is rather common to hear the phrase in guild "Real Life comes first".

Considering our family orientated guild style, we keep guild chat a PG-13 environment (As the game is rated T) in addition to some simple rules which are more common sense than actual rules. Discussions on politics, religion, race, sexual preference and other subject that can cause disagreement are prohibited in guild. Be it in guild chat or on the forums or vent. Additionally we have a very wide player ranging from players in Europe, Australia to Asia with different life style choices with regard to politics, religion etc. Thus no discussion on such matters.

Additionally we are playing a computer game so this format is not the best place to discuss the next elections or some war or whatever. Discussions should be pertinent to the game, role-play and the lore. This is a very core principle of the guild. If we see discussions like these you will be promptly gkicked.

We focus strongly on a relaxed and fun atmosphere among our guild members. We consider this to be our primary purpose. We do not require any specs of anyone or any time commitments whatsoever. The only rules that we enforce is that you be kind and courteous to your fellow KOS members and that you are reasonable to other players on The Venture Co.

We continue focus on RP-PVP. The aim is to integrate the two as much as possible to provide a fun atmosphere to play a computer game. I would also like to reiterate that KOS is not a hardcore raiding guild. While our members do raid with guilds, it is not our primary purpose. If you wish to raid we are not the guild for you, you will be disappointed.

However, if you are tired of the stress involved in hardcore guilds, are a mature player, have a life outside WoW and would like that to come first, and are just basically looking for a guild that you can relax and have a good time with when you play WoW then KOS is a guild that you might want to consider. Bearing in mind you are a role-player.

We also aim to keep an honorable play style in game even though we play a regiment at war with the horde. We do not camp first. We will camp in response to our guild mates being abused or harassed by the horde. You will not spit on members of any faction even in character. Like stated earlier we aim to keep an honorable play style.

However we are still a PVP guild. Meaning horde are kill on sight. Specifically blood elves in addition to any guild that is a representative of the Dread Horde - an Horde RP-PVP coalition. You will be asked to kill hordes of a lower season than yourself if the case maybe. You will be asked to attack horde towns and raze them down in character.

The rules for the regiment are as follows:

Role-play
1. The say channel is in character.
2. The yell channel is in character.
3. Guild chat is in an in character channel. However OOC comments are allowed if they are placed in brackets as follows: ((Morning all, what are you doing?))
4. Party and Raid channels are up to the individual. We have players who do break character and others who do not.

PVP
1. Red = dead
2. Dread horde members are kill on sight
3. We will not camp first. You are allowed to camp in response to abuse or harassment
4. Our definition of camping is along the lines of: "If you are purposely not allowing a horde member to flee the environment where he or she does not wish to fight you." If you kill a horde player while questing and he or she keeps coming back to exact revenge you are not camping. Because the combat is initiated on their side.
5. No spit, or teabagging. Both will get you gkicked.
6. If a guild mate is being camped you are honor bound to go in and clean up the mess. We highly encourage to pay back the camper for his deeds. We protect our own.

General rules
1. No spamming any channel.
2. You will be provided with help but learn to play the game yourself. We are not here to babysit you through instances for which you can find a group. Now if you try to find a group for 3 days and are unsuccessful then yes we will help. But learn to be self-reliant. We are adults, we expect this level of maturity. In this same vein, gchat is not Google. It is not WoWwiki, WoWhead, or Elitist Jerks, either. Use them, love them. Remember that there is a difference between asking for help with a question and expecting your guildmates to constantly do your thinking for you.
3. Help you guild mates. You are in a guild for a reason. Participate in events, in battles and get to know your guild mates. If you not even gonna try why are you in a guild in the first place?
4. You ninja we /gkick. No questions asked.
5. You abuse or insult our guild mate for any reason, the religion, race or sexual preference expect a swift /gkick and maybe even a bounty on your head in character of course.
6. Respect player. No kicking without talking to them. No abuse, no cursing them out for a mistake.

Your actions represent this guild and its membership. If your actions bring ill-repute expect consequences for your actions.
