It was one of those days: It was bright and sunny and the fight to retake the Keep from the Syndicate and the ogres was ongoing, as ever. But that day, the fight was half-hearted. Many just wanted to relax and take a break from the constant combat. During such a pause, a call was heard from the other side of the courtyard.

A man with long gray hair rode his horse right into the inner sanctum. As the old mage rode past the various men and women of Stromgarde, each one knelt out of respect -- some of the newer recruits to Stromgarde knelt more out of curiosity than out of respect. They whispered amongst themselves, wondering why the mage got respect akin to the Trollbane family.

As the whispering got louder and became more of an open discussion, a dwarf and an elf stood to the side chuckling. This caught the attention of the group. Irritated, one of them commented "Why are you two standing in the corner there snickering? Why does a stranger get so much respect from the men of this Keep?"

The elf smirked and responded, "Stranger? That human is a Guardian of Stromgarde! And that's no ordinary Guardian! That is Palenti, Counsel to the Trollbane family and the Lord Commander."

"Guardian? What are you on about, night elf?" questioned another man.

The dwarf was quick to reach for his mail glove, but the night elf placed a hand on his shoulder to restrain him. "They are still new, let it slide. You don't always need to pick a fight."

"Palenti is a Guardian of Stromgarde. The Guardians are charged with protecting the interests of Stromgarde in all aspects. They function as military leaders in battle, officers in a dispute, ambassadors to the different Alliance kingdoms and more importantly they are the Commanding Officers of the Keepers of Stromgarde."

"Guardians are the few men and women who have put the nation of Stromgarde before their own personal needs and wants. They serve tirelessly the people of Stromgarde, their own Keepers and many of those in the Alliance."

"In addition they are supposed to offer advice and support the Trollbane family in managing the affairs of Stromgarde. The Guardians work actively to further the needs and interests of Stromgarde through the Keepers of Stromgarde."

"Of course, being that the Guardians have such a huge responsibility on their shoulders, they aren't exactly the most patient people in the world. Palenti acts as the calming influence in the regiment. He is the confidante of the Guardians and of the Trollbane family. Whenever a Guardian feels like he or she should make you all into minced meat, they seek out the counsel of Palenti. His cool and logical response normally saves your hides. So next time you see a Guardian -- specifically Palenti -- show them the due respect they deserve."

Lord Commander / Marshal / Lore Keeper

These three ranks are found under the same category for an important reason. Most of the ordinary decisions are reached in a democratic fashion where the opinions from the Lord Commander and the Guardians have the same weight. Every suggestion is deeply analyzed and a decision in reached by non-secret voting. Urgent matters decisions though are handled and dealt with by whichever members of the council are found only and later reported to the whole Officer team via forums.

Therefore the tasks of the Lord Commander and the Guardians are the same, since their ordinary function are all found at the same hierarchy level. Now let’s proceed with the tasks of this group:

- Rule Enforcement:
The “Keepers of Stromgarde” regiment is, above all, a serious and re noun martial institution not only known by its feats but also by its honorable ways. Your task is to keep our men at bay, maintain the order and make sure, by any means, that the rules are being followed. For that it’s required you know and practice the law in order to set an example. If that doesn’t work we still have that old guillotine. Remember: Respect, Honor, Maturity and Vengeance!

- Recruiting:
Although a member of this council will be named the official guild recruiter, a Guardian has the ability to add a person to our regiment. But in order to do so some standards must be followed:

1 - The person must have a registered user using the very name of the character that is applying to join us.
2 - The person must have filled the questionnaire in proper fashion and have at least 2 positive replies.
3 – The person must be interviewed by a Guardian well versed on RP in order to measure the abilities and the level of maturity of the recruit. If no interview can be issued, proceed with invitation BUT add an officer note saying “Interview Pending”.
4 – The new recruit should be ranked as a Squire and his professions should be listed on his public information. Example: Miner / Jeweler

Note 1 – In case the new recruit was recommended by an actual Keeper the step number 2 must be ignored. BUT... the person who's sponsoring a new recruit must do it on our forums under the General tab.
Note 2 – In case the new recruit is an ALT of an actual Keeper then all steps must be ignored and the alt character must be invited and ranked as such, also the name of his main character must be added on the alt’s public information.

- Welcome Committee:
After inviting a new member to our guild it’s the job of the Guardian / Lord Commander to make the Squire feel at home. A warm welcome must be handled and attempt to introduce the new recruit to the guild atmosphere, a little RP is highly suggested. Also the entire Guardian/LC team must watch the evolvement of the new member for at least 1 week, preventing him from feeling out of place.

- The Guardians and Lord Commander are also bound to ALL the tasks, excepting the one from the Squire rank...
