I’m well aware the following read might feel winded, but knowing what you’re about to read (and I hope you do) is crucial for your future amongst us.
Role-playing
For starters let me clarify a very important aspect of our regiment. As you might have heard or read, we are a role-playing / player vs. player based guild with very few PvE aspirations and we’re certainly looking for people that are willing and capable of combining both in-character behavior with the will to fight. The technique you might use or your degree of experience regarding RP do not worry us, we can always help you out if ever needed. We count with a fairly experienced role-player base who would gladly give you some tips about this wonderful experience.
It’s extremely important for us that our new recruits meet a certain level of requirements when it comes to in-character behavior in order to maintain a pleasant, respectful, clean, consistent and drama-free atmosphere within the guild, where our members at least have a couple of things in common, their honest wish to role-play and PvP. And in order to maintain such atmosphere we count with various RP screening processes to which every candidate is submitted to, the most notorious process is of course, our Recruitment Questionnaire.

As stated above, our second nature is Player vs. Player combat, mostly when motivated by some sort of RP storyline. The Venture Co. (US) is well known for its epic World PvP battles in which the Keepers of Stromgarde participated in some, fighting with honor and valor. For those not familiar with VeCO there are a few things you might need to know.
- 1 - The Venture Co is a RP-PvP server, meaning that regardless what the server type may be you’ll have a rough time finding random role play, and it’s quite possible you’ll be PK’d on the process.
2 - Compared to serious RP servers such as Moon Guard, VeCO will certainly seem lacking. Random role play is much harder to find, but as long as you stick to a guild that is RP based you’ll manage to experience enough in-character behavior.
3 - Regardless where you run to or where you hide, you will get killed by the opposite faction. After all, VeCO is also ruled by the PvP mechanics and PVP will happen, so bite the bullet and take it like a man, or an elf, or even a gnome…
4 - Our guild is best known not for the number of our victories, but for how we fight our battles. If there's something we honestly cherish as a regiment is our humble and honorable approach towards PvP, and regardless how crude and immature the enemy may be, we shall always keep our heads high and strike back with valor, respect and commitment. We do not condone /spitting, tea-bagging or any childish mockery of this sort.
The Keepers of Stromgarde, as a guild, emphasize on World PvP generated by RP plots. It’s not, and never will be, about mindless killing or assaulting Tarren Mill for the heck of it. Every WPvP event where the Keepers have fought, we’ve fought for something; we had a clear goal which we either reached with or sweat and blood, or honorably died trying.
“As a member of our humble regiment will be ordered into battle and we expect you fight, for we’re an army and not a lazy tea-drinking bunch. If you can’t fight then you’re no good for us. You might be asked to participate on patrols and/or even defend some broken ruins, but as a Keeper of Stromgarde you do not question, you fight! And fight you shall.” – Jerome
